Let's dig into Acts 1 | Text:Acts 1: 1-8
Reflection:
In Acts 1 we see the promise of the holy spirit through Jesus' death and resurrection. There is a clear establishment of community that required total trust and obedience from the disciples without Jesus' physical presence there. They had to continue the legacy of the gospel of Jesus Christ solely on instructions. How many of us could trust and follow Jesus even after he changes the terms and conditions?

Your ministry is demonstrated publicly through the fruit of your connections. You were made to serve but there is a special level of power that is required of you to seek the Lord for as you go deeper in your Christian walk. This type of power will only be given to you after your period of suffering. God is going to deliver you for his glory but are you willing to wait for the power? You gotta show God that you're willing to wait like he did. Jesus had to wait in the tomb by himself for three days for the resurrection power.
You are expected to cry and seek the Lord through your season of waiting. The power to defeat the enemies assigned to destroy your purpose will be given to you after you and God will not spoil you to give you microwaved power when his only begotten son had to die to live again! You can look powerful and not be powerful because you did not surrender yourself to the Lord. Surrender and wait through the storms! Are you willing to wait?
Prayer
Dear Lord!
I acknowledge that you are the only true and living God. You have all power in your hands and because you have never failed to rescue me out of my moments of trials, I trust you with my life. I make you my source of power. So here I am Lord telling you that I am willing to wait. Find favor in me Lord and grant me the power to defeat the enemies assigned to my life and the lives of those attached to my ministry.
Amen
