Unsung Heroes

You say you don't do it for the x or the y

Not for fame or money but then if you didn't get it would you be upset?

Is that something nice we say or are we really about it? I mean. You bout that life or nah?

See what I find is, I often say things like that when in fact it's hyperbolic cuz when I didn't get It my reaction let me know that maybe it was more of a factor than I thought and maybe my Attempt at "humility" was often times false.

So....it would appear that I'm sometimes not really as about it as I thought I was.

See the thing about God and how he can do Your life is He's a mirror, and He'll put you in situations that will make you see you. All of a sudden just by looking at him or to Him you show up in the image staring back at you and you may not like what you see.

You may have thought you were better than this, over this, that this wasn't a thing anymore. Pride? Hate? Unforgiveness? A Crushing desire for acceptance and approval.

Simple situations and you'll see how pressed you really are. All of a sudden you're not as willing to be an unsung hero as you claimed to be, and that can hurt.

The realization that maybe you weren't as good, as healed, or as grown as you thought in can be heavy. In the face of God and God-made circumstances, thinly veiled pride and self righteousness crumble, but what do you do?

Everyone loves a good self pity party even though we don't like to say it...just to sit writhing in the woefulness and self loathing of what you've now realized you really are. You'll be shocked to discover the real trash you and your motives can be at times.

Then the enemy tacks on his Condemnation and makes you feel like you failed God...like you disappointed God. How do you fail a God who knew exactly who You were even if you didn't and knew from Day 1 exactly what you'd do?

You can only fail or disappoint when you do a bad thing you weren't expected to do. So how do you do you that with a God that already saw these moments before you were born? The God who placed you here to show you yourself isn't disappointed when you finally see what He already saw. So reject the pity party and the condemnation because God didn't bring light to darkness for you to sit in even Deeper darkness and sink into depression.

The lifter of your head says come. Your Salvation, your righteousness, the lover of Your soul, creator of the world, yea Him that.

God says come, let's talk about this. Be with me, transformation is In me. If you woke up today and faced that Spiritual mirror and you don't like what you see, transformation is only in me. I doh know Bout you but I only grew when God showed me up then took me under his wing. Hiding Me, growing me, loving me and reminding me that He never chose me cuz I was great but because he wanted me, reminding me that he qualifies the called and did not called the qualified.

He fixes my vision and gives me Godly perspective, that's when I realize that nothing besides this clarity really matters. The vanities don't matter. The awards, approval, crowds loving and screaming my name. In fact, that's not my destiny so it's best I let that go for the name that makes an eternity of difference. To do the things for Christ that will remain even after all the things of the world fade away.

See being a Christian in truth might seem like an unsung hero's life but the truth is, every dog has his day and mine will last forever. Mine has eternity stamped on it, so I must live like my life has eternity stamped on it. My name can always go unsung, I didn't die to save a soul So my name pales in comparison to Jesus Christ, the name above ALL names. I hope They never stop singing that name....and I Hope one day my saviour calls mine and says "Well done thou good and faithful unsung Hero".
