Text : Acts 9
Reflection:
The spirit of legalism would have shut down Paul the apostle's ministry. Critical and legalistic persons would have told Paul "this is too fast...too quick...". "You can't just be killing Christians last week and then preaching the same gospel you killed them for this week". "It doesn't work like that, look at Jesus. He lived 30 years (saved and inna church) before He started preaching and you want to become a pastor in a week?". "Go submit to your elders and learn the law from them and how to lead God's people, preach, teach..." .
Truth is, how far and fast we excel in the kingdom is only dependent on 2 persons: God and you.

If anyone else's opinion affects your growth and development, then that would
be by your own choice to allow the opinions of man to supersede the voice of God. What is God calling you to do? Where has God called you to go? Why haven't you reached/arrived there? What are the limitations or impeding factors?
Do not allow people's opinions to blind you to the vision that God showed you. Do not allow the voices of people's opinions to drown out the voice of the Holy Spirit. Man's wisdom is good, God's wisdom is better. Man's timing cannot compare to the timing of heaven. Your rate is dependent on your faith and obedience.
Submission to man's wisdom is NEVER tolerated in scripture, so even when God tells us to leadership and church authority, He is inviting us to submit to HIM. His rule filters through Godly leaders as coffee percolates through a filter.
Prayer
Dear Lord, Teach me to trust your timing and seek your wisdom. Teach me to elevate your will above the threats, thoughts, concerns, considerations, opinions and desires of people.
Help me to believe you truly and honor your word and commands to go and do your
will more than I honor the requests of people to reconsider your clear will for my life. I will follow you. I will honor you. I will obey you, above all and in spite of all. Today I commit myself to grow and accomplish all you require of me at the rate of faith.
